INCLAYSIVE Visiting Artist:
Melanie Taing
Melanie's work explores personal and generational healing through clay, drawing on her Cambodian, Thai, and Chinese American heritage, tea culture, herbalism, and the belief that art and community can be powerful tools for connection and care.
After developing chronic migraines and other disabling health conditions in 2022, Melanie found healing and resilience through Traditional Chinese Medicine, tea-making, and ceramics, with pottery becoming a space for creativity, reflection, and restoration.
During the event, Melanie will share her artistic journey and reflections on healing, heritage, and disability from 1:00–2:00 PM, followed by a hands-on coaster-making activity from 2:00–4:00 PM where participants can explore her vinyl resist technique.
This event reflects Revision's commitment to centering disabled artists through storytelling, community building, and creative practice, and we would be honored to have you join us for this afternoon of learning, connection, and creativity.

Revival is an open invitation for all creatives to submit works of art centered around themes of sustainability, reduction of waste, appreciation of the natural environment, and/or works made from recycled or reclaimed materials. This is a display of once was, imagined again.
