Vickie is originally from New York and is an artist, advocate and grandparent. She is known locally as a teaching artist at the San Diego Central Library. Her non-profit, Dancing Around the Oak Tree, provides instructional videos to people with disabilities to think creatively about low budget materials. She enjoys creating art from recycled items, using indigenous methods, and working with mosaics. Her standout style is recognized as maximalist, with bold color patterns.
